Legally established in Brussels in 2007, ARETUSA is a network of 18 associations working in 15 EU countries for the promotion of equality between men and women, in particular to prevent and contrast trafficking in women for sexual exploitation.
Since 2002, the member Associations had experienced the added value of transnational cooperation at European level through the informal network ENATW European Network Against Trafficking in Women for sexual exploitation.
